My practice largely consists of hand-building clay sculptures which I then translate into risograph print. I work to combine fragile, handmade ceramic works with a more accessible and easily reproduced version in risograph form.

I am exploring an ongoing interest in Celtic identity, and what this means to people today. Keeping in mind: connection to landscape, language, music and mythologies, whilst also acknowledging the tension and disconnect between old and new in Scottish culture. This relates to craft technologies and materials - alongside a conflict between city life and rural living.

I am interested in understanding traditional ways of making and in which communities it is possible to keep these methods alive.

Much of the intention behind my making is an attempt to combine these feelings, visually.
