Masaki Ishikawa is a visual artist whose multimedia practice comprises painting, drawing, sculpture, and installations.

He recently works predominantly on paintings based on postcards and travel guide books which explore memory, technology, and the living and dead objects. Composing geometric shapes and photographic images in his paintings, his work represents a particular site and scene seen in used postcards and travel guide books.

Masaki Ishikawa (b. 1995, Tokyo) lives and works in Glasgow and Tokyo. He received his MFA from The Glasgow School of Art in 2021 and his BFA in painting from Musashino Art University in 2019.

He participated in multiple group shows and publications such as “The Opening Exhibition of Syangyuan Art Museum 2022 International Creation Program” Beijing, “Happenstance” Whitespace, Edinburgh, “Hot Wheels' ' The Glue Factory, Glasgow. His recent publications are “Messenger Boy '' and “An Original of the Message '', in collaboration with Mio Ito.
