Kayleigh McGuinness
I am a Glasgow-based artist working in sculptural installations that engage with historical processes and materials, including flax,
limestone, steel, and sound. Rooted in themes of heritage, community, and women’s histories, my work explores the lives and
labours embedded within landscapes, seeking to bridge ancestral narratives with contemporary audiences. As the director of
Creative Hangouts, I am dedicated to widening access to the arts for children and young people, delivering workshops and afterschool
programmes that inspire creative expression and nurture skills. Through these initiatives, I aim to foster confidence, curiosity,
and a lifelong appreciation for the arts in young learners across Glasgow and East Renfrewshire.
