Overview of the role

Glasgow Sculpture Studios (GSS) is excited to announce that we are looking to appoint a Development Manager. This is an exciting new role at a pivotal moment for Glasgow Sculpture Studios. With a new Director in post and our 40th anniversary approaching in 2028, we are looking for a Development Manager who will help shape the next chapter of GSS.

Working closely with the Director and other members of the Senior Management Team, the Development Manager will play a key role in strengthening our long-term sustainability, visibility and impact.

The role brings together three interconnected areas of work:

  • Income generation and fundraising

  • Communications, profile and audience development

  • Organisational development and business planning

You will help us grow and diversify income, refine how we communicate our value and impact and contribute to a resilient future for GSS.

Key information

Job title: Development Manager

Contract: Permanent

Responsible to: Director

Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum (£19,200 – £20,400 pro rata)

Working hours: 0.6 FTE / 3 days per week Monday – Wednesday, 9.30am – 5.30pm with occasional evening and weekend work with Time Off in Lieu.

Probation period: 6 months, with review at 3 months.

Reviews: 6-month probation review. Annual performance review.

Regular development reviews with line manager.

Holidays: 24 days statutory holidays per year plus 9 public holidays (14.4 days pro-rata; 5.4 public holidays pro-rata).

Based at: Glasgow Sculpture Studios, The Whisky Bond, 2 Dawson Road, G4 9SS. Hybrid working on request.

Deadline: 10am, Wednesday 25th March 2026

Interviews: Monday 27th April 2026

Preferred start date: June 2026
