Anton Geryon's practice is concerned with the relationships that form between different images, objects and materials when they come into contact with one another. Recent examples of work include ‘Clearing’ (2023), an architectural intervention in the Reid Gallery of the Glasgow School of Art which took the form of a false pillar that emanated the aroma of a Caledonian pine forest; and ‘Sight Unseen’ (2024), an installation comprised of a photographic still life, an audio recording of the sound of writing, and a small floor-based sculptural work.
Anton Geryon (b. 1997) is a contemporary artist and researcher from Sydney, Australia. They completed a BA (Hons) in Visual Arts from Sydney College of the Arts in 2021. They Graduated from the MFA course at Glasgow School of Art with distinction in 2024. Their work has been exhibited internationally.
