Maria Gondek

Maria Gondek‘s work constructs tangible encounters that temporarily manifest themselves as material interventions in time and space. Working site- and situation specific, her work reflects on its immediate circumstances as well as the historical, architectural and social narratives that are embedded within. Utilizing kinetics in the broadest sense, her work is in a constant state of transition creating a sensation of connection between viewer and object embodied in the temporality of the install. Maria Gondek is interested in making accessible work that, with subtle humour, creates a generous exchange and fosters a feeling of empathy in the viewer.
