Callum Johnstone

Callum Johnstone‘s practice explores the themes of sustainability and the unimagined future. Living in a time of great uncertainty, he aims to question the structures and foundations on which we build our society, and aims to reimagine them in an unfamiliar way. Through this, he hopes to present a way in which humanity can progress, with less environmental and socio-political issues. The work he produces often crosses the boundaries into architecture or design, through the way Callum deals with his subject matter. The artist positions himself  as not only a commentator or illustrator of current events, but also an individual who can create objects which can contribute to real change.
