Price: £150 per course per person (2 full days over two weekends)

Prior experience required: none
Maximum number of participants: 6
Participants must be a minimum 16 years of age
This 2 day course introduces participants to working in steel, as a grounding towards developing both a practical knowledge involving practicalities for sculpture, as well as developing a sculptural language in constructed metal for its own sake. This could result in linear and rhythmic forms in space, or consist of volumetric and contained forms.
If you require more information or would like to book a place on this course please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 0141 353 3708.
Joseph Ingleby is a studio holder and artist member at Glasgow Sculpture Studios. His creative process involves bringing together images and ideas that he gradually narrows down and refines through an intensive period of drawing to create resolved sculptural forms. A progression of full-scale mock-ups, profiling (cutting out of metal shapes), construction and installation then follows. Joe works on both a large and small-scale, and has completed a number of public commissions; in 2013 he received an Adolph and Esther Gottlieb Foundation Award from New York.
