Artist Mar Cubero and curator Elena Zaccagnini are undertaking a self-funded residency at Glasgow Sculpture Studios. Here they are developing Long Term Relationships, a curatorial project in which they aim to explore relationships between artists and curators and how those can be held over time.

Mar Cubero (Madrid, 1990) lives and works in Madrid. She graduated from BA in Fine Arts by the Universidad Complutense Madrid and MA in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture by Universidad Autónoma, Universidad Complutense and Reina Sofía Museum. She completed her academic education in the Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Kunste Stuttgart. She is currently developing her artistic reserch at Estudio Mendoza, Madrid. Her work has been exhibited at Espacio Valverde, [Es]positivo, EspacioBRUT, Piramidón Centre d’Art Contemporani and PHEstudios. Besides her visual art practice, she is also involved in collective projects such as ‘Cientodieciocho’ dedicated to self-publishing.

Elena Zaccagnini (Madrid, 1989) completed her BA in History of Art, Universidad Autonoma Madrid and MA in History of Contemporary Art and Visual Culture at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.  She is currently studying MLitt Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art) at Glasgow School of Art and Glasgow University.
