Louise Gibson graduated from Edinburgh Collage of Art in 2009 and in 2013 relocated the studio to Berlin. In 2014 she was granted a long term private residency placement on a metal recycling yard on the outskirts of the city in Lichtenberg where one of her studios is based. Gibson is currently living in Glasgow where she is making a body of new work and pursuing a research project in collaboration with her sponsors Polynt Composites. Group shows include The Fall of The Rebel Angels, 56th Venice Biennale 2015 and The Berlin Art Prize 2014. Gibson has created public Art commissions for The Grove Hotel In London and interior structures such as a cast resin Elevator ceiling in collectors suite Smartloft Art and Apartments in Mitte Berlin. Gibson’s practice and innovative work with resins is sponsored and supported by global resin manufacturer Polynt composites.
