Laura Buttons mainly works with sculpture to offer on-site installations that often carry signs of struggle. She makes room by reconstructing micro-events mentally formulated from details experience. Marked by ordinary violence of everyday life literature (Bukowski, Dostoyevsky, Baker, the Brutalists…) and poetic syntaxes, some of her works are built by echoes or tensions that punctuate the space when others are a brutally sweet expression of domestic surrealism. Laura Buttons builds ghost stories in which we always arrive too late.
